What better way to share the Greek culture with you than to feed you the traditional foods of Greece? Come eat our delectable Gyros, Pastitsio, Spanakopita, Tyropites, Greek salads, Baklava and more. Greek festivals or panagiria as they are called in Greece, take place on the islands and in the countryside villages of Greece and serve as fund raisers for churches and local communities. Greek festivals all over the United States have spread the Greek culture and Orthodox faith through the years. We welcome you to come to the Annual Austin Greek Festival and share the love!

Σαλατα - Salad (V)

A lettuce salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, feta cheese and Kalamata olives will be served with an olive oil dressing.

Ντολμαδες − Dolmades (V)

Grape leaves stuffed with flavorful herbs and rice are a traditional Greek appetizer (μεζε − meze).

Τυροπιτες − Tyropites (V)

These zesty cheese-filled phyllo puffs are always included as μεζεδες − mezethes (appetizers).

Σπανακοπιτες − Spanakopites (V)

Another staple of Greece from the ferry boats to the finest restaurants are these phyllo delights filled with spinach, feta, onion and wonderous herbs (μεζε − meze).

Γυρoς − Gyros

Rotisserie meat (combination lamb/beef) is sliced off the spit and served with tomato and onion on grilled pita bread and tzatziki sauce  (yogurt, garlic and cucumber).

Σουβλάκι κοτόπουλο − Souvlaki Chicken

Skewered, grilled chicken is served with tomato and onion on grilled pita bread and tzatziki sauce (yogurt, garlic, and cucumber).

Σουβλάκι χοιρινό − Souvlaki Pork

Skewered, grilled pork is served with tomato and onion on grilled pita bread and tzatziki sauce (yogurt, garlic and cucumber).

Παστιτσιο − Pastitsio

Pastitsio – Ground meat seasoned with tomato, onion, garlic and oregano is topped with a creamy Bechamel Sauce and crispy layer of Parmesan.

Πατατες − Greek Fries (V)

Called πατατουλεςpatatoules – in Greece, these crispy, tasty fries move the French ones to the back burner!

Λουκουμαδες − Loukoumades (V)

Fried to a crispy goodness, these ‘honey balls’ are served hot and dripping with honey for a perfect dessert to any Greek meal.

Μπακλαβα − Baklava (V)

This is our most famous dessert consisting of layers of phyllo, chopped nuts and cinnamon drenched in a lovely honey/sugar syrup.

Κουραμπιεδες − Kourambiethes (V)

These melt-in-your-mouth almond cookies are smothered in powdered sugar for a divine dessert. They are also known as ‘Wedding Cookies’.

Κουλουρακια − Koulourakia (V)

These irresistible, yet simple, crunchy cookies go great with Greek Kafe and are traditional Easter cookies.
